Summer Collective Exhibit, Centre Artístic Sant Lluc

Summer Collective Exhibit, Centre Artístic Sant Lluc

The second turn of the summer collective art exhibit of the Centre Artístic Sant Lluc begins on July 7 at 7 p.m. As I noted here in June, my entry in the show is titled “Medley” a still life in acrylic. As I also noted before, this is the first time I’ve participated in this annual social event in Barcelona. More information is available at the Centre’s website, www.stlluc.cat
Following the opening, the artwork (drawings, paintings, sculptures) will remain on display until 31 July. Please take note of the different opening times for visits after the vernissage! Opening runway will be evenings, only, from 17:00 to 20:00, Tuesday to Saturday. That said, however, the Centre’s café has its own hours. So… located at the carrer Mercaders, 42, Barcelona, close to the Cathedral, close to the Santa Caterina market, you’ll find about 40 or 50 artworks on display as indicated.
The show's first turn had some excellent work in it, so..... Excelsior!

Leap Second Festival 2015

Leap Second Festival 2015

On 30 June 2015 at 23:59:60 a one-second showing (yes, one second) will be held of all of the works submitted and accepted for the Festival. My small part in this is a photograph of a detail of my 2006 painting “Alternate take.” Roughly 60 artists are participating in this event, and there is a lot of interesting work, believe me. Bjørn Magnhildøen has organized it all (splendidly, as usual), including the thoughtful detail of post-festival inclusion of the works on the Noemata website. So as the non-leap seconds tick by, we should have time time to view the works at greater length. Or depth, or breadth… What is it about time that eludes me here? More information is at http://noemata.net/leapsec26/ as well as on Twitter. Happy Leap Second to all!
